Many Thanks!

Hello all,

SO happy it's the weekend! Long weeks ahead as I try to shut out this school year. :)

Here's a card I made that probably has the most dimensional I've ever used in a card! It will require a bubble envelope for certain!

It may be difficult to see, but the little rose in the upper right corner is "midway" between the pack polka-dot panel and the frontmost panel.

Here's a closer shot:

I had fun using the "Roses" die from Paper Smooches! It may become a favorite! (I say that of every new crafting supply I get!)  :P

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Many Thanks (The Craft's Meow)
Dies: Roses (Paper Smooches); Double Stitch Square (Lil' Inkers Designs)
Paper: Classic Kraft (regular and pattern), True Black (all PTI); Linen Closet (DCWV)
Ink: Onyx Black (Versafine)
Other: Clear embossing powder (WOW!)

Happy Administrative Professionals Day!

Hello all,

My school secretaries are the oil in the machinery I know as my elementary school. They pretty much keep the school running smoothly. With Administrative Professionals Day coming up (Wednesday, April 27), I thought I would share my appreciation.

Yes, those are matching envelopes! :) That envelope die from PTI comes in handy every now and again! :)

I'm also entering these cards into the Freshly Made Sketches 233 (click there for information!)

I hope my secretaries like these (along with the other goodies I plan on giving them). :)

Hip Hip Hooray! It's your birthday!

Hello all,

I've seen this technique before, (but I can't recall where), so I won't take credit for it. I just like the look of it and think it's pretty cool when the pieces appear more "puzzle-like" in the die-cut.  :)

I wanted it to be set against a black background for maximum impact!

World's Best Father

Hello all,

Well, I got some of my Mother's Day cards out of the way, so time to get cards done for dear ol' Dad! :)

I used the Fancy Fish die from Frantic Stamper along with the My Favorite Dad stamp set to come up with this card:

I cut the fish from some of Papertrey Ink's Copper Shimmer paper and mounted it to some of PTI's Night Sky Shimmer paper. You can hopefully see both in the close-up below:

Hello all,

It's been a while since I've participated in some challenges, so why not go gung-ho? Not only did I try the

but also the

I will admit the colors were outside my comfort zone, but I believe we often have to leave our comfort zone to discover more about our creativity! :)

I was proud of myself of thinking about cutting the Birthday Centerpiece die (from MFT) in half! :)

I know the grey patterned paper looks blackish here, but I promise it's Basic Grey from Stampin' Up!

Go check out the challenges and join in!

Happy Mother's Day

Hello all,

One can never be too early in card making for holidays! :) Yes, I realize it's only the start of April, but Mom's Day will be here before we know it!

The thing is, it's hard to find a good die set that can celebrate this special day that isn't floral in nature.

Then I was shared this Retro Mom in the Kitchen die (by Frantic Stamper) and I knew it was awesome! :)

I die-cut it twice so that I could make a "shadow effect" to go along with the double-stamped sentiment (All in the Family).

I'm happy with how it turned out.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: All in the Family (Frantic Stamper)
Dies: Retro Mom in Kitchen (Frantic Stamper), Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders)
Paper: Turquoise Sea (GinaK), Stamper's Select, Classic Kraft, Classic Kraft pattern (all PTI)
Ink: Turquoise Sea ink (GinaK); Onyx Black (Versafine)
Other: Ticket Corner punch (Stampin' Up!)
