Happy St. Paddy's Day! :)

Top 'o the mornin' to you!

Yeah, that's as Irish as I'm able to master. :) And I've learned that saying is really just said in the USA. Imagine!

Well, in something short of amazing, I'm actually EARLY with a holiday card.

I wish I could include the supplies, but I didn't write them down. I can say that the patterned paper was made by yours truly. :) I used "Perfect Plaid" stamp set... by Papertrey Ink. It's really easy to make!

Thanks for looking!

Some exciting news! :)

Hello all!

I'm very excited to share some news with you. Fran, owner of Frantic Stamper, has asked me to Guest Design for her for the next few months.

Here is the blog post announcing it. :)

I'm really thrilled to have this chance. I love Fran's website because her dies and stamps are so versatile, and she and her die designer Kathy are always thinking up dies that can be used in so many ways!

So keep watch on my blog from now through May as I am grateful to showcase what I do with her products!

Did I mention I'm excited?  :)

Thanks of reading!

Papertrey February Blog Hop Challenge

Hello all!

Well, it's been a LONG time since I've participated in a PTI Blog Hop! :) I had forgotten how much fun it is to get my creative juices challenged and flowing. :)

Here is the photo that the folks at Papertrey Ink showed to inspire us:

And here's the card I came up with...

I wanted to focus a bit on the fern, vase, butterfly and ribbon, while I tried my best to keep the color scheme the same.

I hope I was somewhat successful! :)

I hope you'll get a chance to check out the blog and visit all of the other participants' entries!

Thanks for checking out my creation!

His Eye Is On The Sparrow

Hello all,

Here's a card I made a week or so ago. I have some feather dies (I forget from where they come sadly), and wanted to try some Zig Watercolor Markers on them. :)

Here's what I came up with.

I'm quite pleased with the color choices. You can't tell from the photo, but the sentiments are both heat embossed.

Thank you for looking! :)

Hummingbird Stained Glass - Happy Easter!

Hello all,

When I saw this die from FranticStamper.com, I knew I had to have it! :) I had so many cool ideas to do with this die.

I wanted to give it a stained glass look appearance, so I used Copic markers and then with some Glossy Accents, I was intending to do the entire piece. However, I thought it may look cool to just do the hummingbird and make it the focal point. :)

Here's my final product:

And here's a close-up:

And now with the card open.

I hadn't created a gatefold card in quite some time, so I was happy to see that I still remembered where to score it! :) Thankfully, my Scor-Pal has markings to make it easier.

Thanks so much for looking!

So Incredibly Blessed

Hello all!

I've always enjoyed the look of dimensional letters that are stamped with the same pattern as the paper behind them. I just had never known how to do it. But, with a bit of experimentation, I got it to look the way I wanted it to. :)

It really isn't that hard. A bit time-consuming to say the least. But I believe the finished result is worth the effort. :)

I apologize I don't have the supply list on hand. I need to get back in the habit of jotting those things down as I use them! :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday 29-year-old!

Hello all,

A friend/co-worker has asked me to create a birthday card for her son for his upcoming birthday.

She said she would also like a pocket inside for a gift card.

Thus...

I apologize for the lighting, but the numbers, ink, and button are a navy blue. :)

Valentine's Love

Hello all!

Thanks very much for stopping by today. I can't believe it's already February. I'm not a tremendous fan of making Valentine's Day cards only because I'm not a gushy type of guy. I tend to try to stay away from traditional pinks and reds, but always fail. :)

Anyway, here's a card I did using black as the base, as I wanted the colors to stand out.

I plan on sending this card to a special friend who always enjoys receiving my creations. :)

I hope you each have an awesome V-Day!

Thanks again for checking out my art.
