I want to thank everybody who participated in March's HEC... at the time of this post, there were 16 entrants! (Again... coincidence? I think not!)
Now... here are some other coincidences about which you should think:
1. My birthday is 4/20. What's the difference between 4 and 20? Yep, sixteen!
2. I'll turn 44. What's 4 x 4? Aye, sixteen!
3. How many letters in "PURPLE/GREEN COMBO?" You got it! Sixteen!
Now, what does #3 have to do with anything? Well, read on, faithful readers. Read on.
Since it's my birthday month, I get to have you create a BIRTHDAY project (card, box, tag, etc.) that displays my FAVORITE color combination: PURPLE and GREEN! :) Yes, you can have a bit of white and a tad of black, but mostly, the project should have purple and green it.
Now, that's not much a challenge, is it?
You're right. It's not.
So let's make it a bit tougher. Since I'm turning 4-4, I want to see FOUR of something on your card. Perhaps it's four buttons. Maybe four words. (No "four corners" don't count! Silly!). Four flowers? Four hearts? Four candles on a cake? Four cupcakes? You get the idea. ;)
"Ugh, Ted... that's a lot to put on one card!"
"Really? Should I go back to the number sixteen?"
"No! No, that's okay... four works."
Good. :)
I'm eager to see what you make for me on my birthday. Besides, everybody needs a great stash of birthday cards, right?
Here are the usual guidelines:
1. You will post a photo of your project on your blog or gallery.
2. You will then need to copy the URL of the BLOG POST (not your blog, but the actual post where you're featuring the project).
3. Add the URL and your NAME to the INLINKS below. :)
4. In your blog post, please add a link to this post and direct others to this post so that they may participate!
5. The deadline is Friday, April 29, 2011 by around 3:00 PM PST.
6. I will choose a random number/winner then and post it.
7. The winner will have until Friday, May 6 to email me at happilyevercrafter at gmail dot com. If I don't receive an email by then, I'll re-draw a number and so on.
8. Only one entry per person, please. :)
As always, the winner will receive a beautifully framed
TEN DOLLAR GIFT CERTIFICATE TO PAPERTREY INK!
So, go get your purple and green papers and inks and get to it! :) Have a GRAPE time. (Sorry, couldn't resist. :P )
Thanks for looking and/or commenting!
Happily Ever Yours,

17 remarks (Thank you!):
OK, Ted. This sounds fun, but I think I might have to print off the instructions to remember all of the details! HaHa!
Thanks for the "Challenge"!
EEEH! I am excited!! Purple and green I LOVE TOGETHER!! I have the coolest pair of earrings made from guitar pics that are just these colors! Oh who is the winner from the previous challenge? Did I miss reading it somewhere?
Awesome challenge because I love purple & green too!
Too much fun! However, it's my birthday month too, and on Sunday, I may be much too old to remember all the deets, so I'll have to print them out too!!! (Trust me, at 4-4, you are still a youngster!) Purple and green sounds like fun! Have a great weekend :)
How fun is this? I did not realize you issued a challenge every month. So generous of you. I'm going to get working.

OK Ted, I will try my hand next week when I am done traveling. Should be interesting. I have no experience with that color combination. If you get a chance, I left something for you on my blog I hope you like it. : ) Have a great weekend!
Fun challenge Ted! Thanks for always being so creative.
You had me at Purple and Green. :) I will take a crack at this one this week. Thanks for the challenge and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, big guy!! You don't look a day over 30. ;)
Wow! Happy early birthday to you!! I love your challenge - these are superb colors :) Congrats on 44 years young!
Sounds like a fun challenge. I hope I can think up something so I can play along!
Holy Moly Ted! I have just written down all the deets and I've almost filled a page. Ok.......slight exageration but this sounds like FUN!!! Let me see what I can come up with!

PS - are you seriously gonna be 44? You don't look a day over 21! (wink!lol)
Hey Ted! So I realized in my post I said I don't like purple and green together hahaah what I MEANT was while scrapbooking:) I love them together in other things I am such a dippy doodle!!
Anyways, the leaves on my card are from Funky Four stamp set by SU! and the sentiment is from A Word For You by SU! I just love them!!
Ha ha ha...was all set to enter another green/purple card today, and realized that it did not have 4 of something on it - you are SO tricky!
Yes, I'm number 9! Speaking of the cool numbers working out...my favorite is 3, and 3x3=9! :)
Oh no, I just realized I failed at reading the directions! Even though I knew it's your birthday, I used a different sentiment on my card. I'm still new to PTI and I don't have a happy birthday stamp yet, but I suppose I could have used a SU stamp. Feel free to disqualify me with no hard feelings. It was still fun playing along!
Ted, thanks for the comment on my card AND for pointing out that it still fell within your requirements! Whew! Another note to self... READ the directions CAREFULLY!! Thanks for offering these challenges... I look forward to next month.
oh no! I just noticed that this is a birthday challenge- oops! I will fix my card after work today and re-post! :)
