Lucky to count you as a friend!

I am!

I'm grateful that I have so many e-friends (as I like to call them) and that so many of you have touched my life. I'm quite fortunate and blessed. :) Thank God and thank you.

So, in honor of an upcoming holiday which happens to be one of my favorites (Hey.... any holiday that encourages us to wear green is okay in my book!), I've created a card for you (and for some real life friends). I've recruited the help of this adorable little leprechaun dude, compliments of Dustin Pike. (He's actually one of Dustin's January Membership images... click HERE for more details).

Speaking of Dustin, be sure to check back here on Thursday to see something I created with one of his releases (Dudley Grows Up). You can look on his blog HERE on Thursday to see the whole thing! :)

Here he is, wishing you a top o' th' morning!

Isn't he a cute little topper? I used Photoshop Elements software to color him and then produced a contact sheet of eight of him because I knew I would use him for a set of cards. I just cut him out (yes, I know I sort of struggled with the knuckles, but those aren't easy to do!) and placed him on dimensionals over the half-cut of the Top Note die (from Sizzix and Stampin' Up!)

He demanded a close-up so here you go:

Here's a close-up of the sentiment with a faint image to the left...

Overall, I'm quite pleased with how the card turned out. I'm loving that woodgrain impression plate (from PTI) more and more! I inked the edges of the sentiment panel using PTI's Vintage Touch duo. Love that stuff! I inked the edges of the "wood" panel with some Chocolate Chip ink (SU!)

Thanks for looking and/or commenting!

Ted this is such a cute card. I really like how you used half of the Top Note die to prop the little guy upon. Looks like a pot of gold. I also like how the shamrock image in the corner is like a faint watermark so the sentiment can shine.

This is a cute card Ted. Didn't realize you loved St. Patrick's Day so much. That was very clever having the leprechaun peek over the top of the die cut.
