Merry Little Christmas

I'm in love with this set.

If it were Michelle Pfeiffer and baked chocolate brownies 24/7 I'd seriously consider marrying it. :)

Okay...that may be an extreme, but this is a very fun set, created by the talented (and adorable) Becky Oehlers for Papertrey Ink. Here's a link to her blog.

I wanted to do a traditional Christmas card and when I saw the included sentiment (which I hadn't seen before!) I knew it had to be a holly tree. :)  I also decided to emboss the tree to give it some "pop".

What do you think about that snow? :) I was inspired to make it swirly so I used the D'vine Swirls embossing Cuttlebug folder. Here's a close-up:

I'm not sure if you can see it, but the left bank of snow is dimensionally placed over the right bank. :)

And a close-up of the adorable bird, debating if he wants to check out that snow:

And finally, a close-up of that sentiment. :)

I'm eager to use this tree for all types of occasions, not just Christmas! :) Very versatile.

Thanks for looking and/or commenting!

Here's the words that just popped out when I zoomed in on your card," OOH, that's so cute!" Really, I said it out loud. It was those embossed, snowy hills that screamed out to me. They were perfect and something I had not thought to use. One of my very favorites of yours so far Ted!

This is really pretty! I didn't get this stamp set last month, but I ordered it with the Nov. release. I keep seeing so many wonderful cards made with it (like yours), just couldn't help myself!

Love love LOVE this Ted! Did you cut apart the holly stamp to do the berries and leaves in different colors? I was thinking of doing that.... but a little bit afraid to! lol
