Katie's favorite color is red and that is what inspired me for the base. :)
I REALLY like the Boards & Beams set from Papertrey Ink (PTI), but I have to say the house gave me some trouble... not having a complete image. In fact, in Katie's card, you can see a bare spot right over the porch. But it was my fifth try, so I went with it. :)
A close-up of the apple trees behind her new home! :)
And the inside sentiment...which I LOVE!
Thanks for looking and/or leaving a comment! :)

Very nice Ted!! She will love it!
OK Your making me want to pull out my stamps. Wow Ted. I've always loved your work, but your getting better and better. Hugs, Christina
I like how you have trees peeking out behind the house!
As for the complete image, I had a little trouble with it too. What I learned to do with this stamp is to let the paper stick to the stamp, (like it tends to for me), and flip them over together, then gently rub over the paper. I get a nice image that way, and no double imaging.
Love the way you have personalized both her gift and her card.
Katie is a lucky lady to be getting such a great card.
I had trouble with that stamp too, even thought my was defective at first. I finally found that I had to stamp on a hard surface (countertop) with padding (burgundy stamp pad thingie) underneath to get a good impression.
The scalloped border looks like a fence in the background and the "fruit" on the trees is just so clever!
TFS~
Love the colors and the trees in the background are gorgeous! I don't have this stamp set so I can't offer any suggestions but I think the house image is adorable! ♥♥ Kay
I love the colours you've used Ted, and the sentiment inside is so sweet. Wonderful card!
